Common Questions

Is prior experience needed for the workshop?

No prior experience is necessary. Our workshops are intentionally designed for beginners and nature enthusiasts who want to learn the fundamental principles of safe mushroom identification in a guided, hands-on outdoor setting.

What should I bring to the foraging session?

Please wear sturdy, closed-toe walking shoes and weather-appropriate layers. We recommend bringing a small basket or breathable paper bag for specimen collecting, a notebook for sketches, and plenty of water for our time in the woods.

Are the mushrooms we find safe to eat?

Safety is our absolute priority. Our expert guides will examine and identify every specimen found. We focus on teaching you to distinguish edible species from toxic look-alikes. Consumption is only ever recommended for species confirmed 100% by our professionals.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

Workshops typically proceed in light rain—mushrooms thrive in the damp! In the event of severe weather or persistent heavy storms, we will notify all participants 24 hours in advance to reschedule the session or provide a full refund.

How long is the workshop and what is the physical pace?

Sessions generally last between 3 to 4 hours. The physical pace is slow and mindful, focusing on observation and habitat identification rather than hiking distance. This makes the experience accessible for individuals with standard fitness levels.
